Sustainability is an integral part of Eurolabel\u2019s growth path. This year, to turn this commitment into concrete actions, we chose to offset our forestry footprint through PrintReleaf<\/strong>, the platform that enables companies to balance paper consumption by supporting certified reforestation projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through this system, our paper use directly contributes to the creation of new forests and the long\u2011term protection of ecosystems.<\/p>\n

For the new reforestation certificate, an active project in Romania<\/strong> was selected, contributing to the restoration of degraded European forest ecosystems.<\/p>\n

The Reforestation Project in Romania<\/h2>\n

The project is located in the Harghita region, Transylvania<\/strong>, an area that in recent years suffered significant windthrow<\/strong> events, which left large areas of forest degraded between 2015 and 2020.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to restore these lands through reforestation, reestablishing the natural composition of local forests by planting native species such as Sycamore Maple, Common Beech, European Fir, and European Spruce.<\/p>\n

The reforestation efforts are designed to recreate the natural forest association of the area, primarily composed of spruce, beech, and fir, supporting the recovery of the ecosystem. The project is carried out in collaboration with One Tree Planted<\/strong>, PrintReleaf\u2019s certified forestry partner.<\/p>\n

Benefits for Environment and Community<\/h2>\n

In addition to restoring degraded forest areas, the project delivers tangible benefits to the area. Reforestation contributes to improving ecosystem services in the area, such as soil erosion protection<\/strong> and water regulation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Planting, management, and monitoring activities also involve local workers and community members<\/strong>, including students and universities, providing educational and field\u2011training opportunities.<\/p>\n
