The June 2026 issue of Italia Grafica, the long-standing magazine dedicated to the graphic and paper converting industry, features an interview with Elisabetta Brambilla, President of Eurolabel and Vice President of Assografici with responsibility for training.
The article, entitled “Training, Skills and Attractiveness. Opportunities in the Graphic and Paper Converting Industry”, explores one of the key challenges for the future of the industry: bridging the gap between education and the world of work while raising awareness of the opportunities offered by a technologically advanced industry.

Technological progress has profoundly transformed the professional skills required in the industry. Alongside technical expertise, today’s professionals need knowledge of graphic design, prepress, digital technologies and increasingly automated processes. The interview therefore highlights the importance of training pathways that meet companies’ needs and of closer collaboration between schools and businesses.
Showcasing the Graphic Industry to Young People
Training, but also communication. According to Elisabetta Brambilla, it is essential to move beyond the perception of an industry still associated exclusively with manual work and to show young people and their families the real career opportunities available across the value chain.
This is also the aim of “Mattia fa le scatole. Storie di giovani in fabbrica”, a documentary created to tell the story of the industry through the voices of young people already working in it, with Eurolabel taking part in the project.
Practical Experience and Lifelong Learning
Internships, company visits and opportunities for direct interaction with businesses are essential tools to help young people make informed choices and gain first-hand insight into a world of work that is often little known.
Training does not end when people enter the workforce: technological change makes continuous skills development essential. In this area, ENIP-GCT (National Institute for Professional Education in the Graphic, Paper Converting and Converting Industries) is also developing new tools and initiatives, including a training content platform and a project based on Artificial Intelligence, designed to support professional development across the entire value chain.
