Personal Care Products Designed to Respect the Environment

The Trend
Safeguarding our planet will be an ever-larger part of our life, and this has driven customers to focus more on the products they use. Purchasing is becoming more aware and guided by moral aspects: consumers’ sense of responsibility towards their own health and that of the planet leads them to choose products with safe formulations and sustainable packaging from a “safe&eco friendly” standpoint.

The Project
For Cosmoprof 2020, an idea was born to develop a co-marketing project between Italian cosmetics companies to create a line of personal cleansing products designed to respect the environment.
It is a collaborative all-Italian project which allowed each company to share its know-how, bringing added value to
each one’s work. An example of a can-do, constructive spirit and coming together to embrace a common goal: creating sustainable products with low environmental impact with the creativity, taste and style that sets Italian manufacturing apart in the world.

The Formula
Karys Due developed safe, vegan-certified formulas with the largest possible number of ingredients of natural origin, while ensuring a safe and stable formulation.
All formulas feature a common active ingredient [Olivo active water leaf extract] from organic agriculture, extracted without the use of chemical solvents for low environmental impact.

The Packaging
Eurolabel, Eurovetrocap and Flaconservice designed packaging able to reduce the environmental impact both upstream and downstream, ensuring safety of both product and consumer:
– Choosing labels and bottles made from recycled plastics or deriving from natural and controlled raw materials.
– Facilitating recycling operations, complying with Conai guidelines for “facilitation of recycling activities for plastic packaging”.

This project has been carried out thanks to partnerships between companies in the supply chain which are brought together by a constant commitment to provide high-quality products which respect the environment.
