29 May 2025 Eurolabel and ITS Rizzoli for packaging of the future
The collaboration between Eurolabel and ITS Academy “Angelo Rizzoli” of Milan represents a virtuous example of how corporate world can dialogue with academic world to build together the future of packaging. A constantly evolving educational project that involves classroom and in-company training sessions, as well as initiatives to challenge students.
The contest: labels between history, technology and sustainability.
Eurolabel launched a contest for the students of the Packaging Specialist class of ITS Academy ‘Angelo Rizzoli’ in Milan, who were divided into nine groups and created graphics for a self-adhesive label, representing the concept “From Gutenberg to AI: Printing between Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability”.
During the exhibition Packaging Première 2025, held in Milan from 13 to 15 May, we presented the project and asked visitors to the Eurolabel stand to vote for their favourite label. Group 4 received the majority of votes.

Company visits: direct training and experience.
On Thursday 22 May, ITS Rizzoli students visited Eurolabel for a company training session.
During the morning, our President gave a general overview of the company and its technologies, with a talk by the technical department and the presentation of some case studies, offering a concrete insight into the challenges of the sector. At the end of the session, the winning group of the contest was announced.
In the afternoon, the visit moved to the production plant, where the students were able to take a closer look at the printing machines and understand the industrial processes that transform a graphic project into a quality label. The contest and the company visit are just two stages of a wider project in which Eurolabel is actively involved in students’ education. In fact, our President Elisabetta Brambilla teaches the Project Management class at ITS Rizzoli, and brings to the lesson not only her own skills, but also the company’s experience, involving other figures in the fields of sales, marketing and quality. A concrete commitment to contribute to the education of new generations of packaging professionals, promoting school and company relations.
The award: from idea to printed label.
On Tuesday 25 November, the contest award presentation was held at the ITS Rizzoli building. On this occasion, the students received the labels created from the graphics designed by the winning group.
The creative proposal selected by the audience was printed and enhanced using Eurolabel technologies to fully showcase its design and expressive potential. The label was produced on bio-based white polyethylene and involved the use of various printing techniques: cold foiling, digital inkjet printing and high-thickness screen printing.
This was a significant moment that concluded the contest, but at the same time represented a new step in the ongoing collaboration between Eurolabel and ITS Rizzoli.
